Hair Career
Hello! My name is Diana. I love learning and science. I graduated from the Limestone County Career Technical Center Cosmetology Class in 2012. During my time there I enjoyed competing in the SkillsUSA Esthetics Competitions. I won first place in the 2011 local competition and went onto place second at the state level. I finished tenth place at the national level in 2012. Then in 2020, I decided to compete in the FWA Alabama Fashion Alliance Xtreme Hair and Makeup Artistry Battle and placed second with my team at the time. I have over 12 years’ experience in the industry working as a stylist in different salons in North Alabama. I still remember my first day at Cosmetology class. I was 15 and I was anxious. I didn't know anything about hair or makeup and my face was horribly broken out. I took the class because I wanted to learn how to fix my insecurities and make myself pretty. When I got home that night to read chapter one, it was impossible to stop. I could not put it down. It ignited my interest and creativity like nothing else had. It was the first time my love for art and science met in a way I enjoyed learning about. Once I started, I had to figure out how everything worked and what I could do to treat my insecurities and those of others. It took hours of practice and tons of materials for me to gain the skills I have today. Even today, I strive to stay up to date with the latest studies and trends. This is how I feel I can best take care of my clients and make sure they receive the best care possible. My favorite part is helping my clients feel more confident and become more comfortable in their own skin like I did. I prefer to do hair analyzes, waxing, facials, and massages but I also offer (men, women, kids) haircuts, color, highlights, lowlights, ombre, balayage, gloss, relaxers, perms, and color corrections. Massage Therapy Career My family has always been my biggest motivation. My grandmother and grandfather have been doing massage therapy for most of their lifes. When they would visit the first thing they would do was massage us and fix whatever pain or aches we were having. As a kid they would show me what to do so that I could help my dad’s sciatic nerve issues and my mother’s fibromyalgia. I always loved trying the different techniques on my parents. When I finally had the opportunity I went to the Massage Therapy Institute of Decatur and graduated in 2014. Since then I have taken different classes and continue learning how to treat pain with massage. I offer Swedish, Therapeutic, and Chair massage. Swedish is a very light pressure and relaxing massage. Therapeutic is a massage where I use different techniques to help with pain, knots or issues like carpal tunnel. I also do chair massages for people who do not have a lot of time.
About ME
I am one of the proud owners of Simplemente Bella. I was born in Guerrero, Mexico but I was raised in Elkmont, Alabama. I have been in Limestone County since I was 2 years old. I have a deep love for Mexico but Limestone County will always been considered my home. This is where I grew up, made my best friends, and fell in love with my husband. We have been married 5 years and together for 9 years. We were friends in high school but didn’t date until we both turned 21. We have a beautiful 1 year old boy who loves exploring and adventure. Honestly right now most of my time is just spent trying to survive parenthood and enjoying the little moments. Once things settle down for me, I hope to start scuba diving again. I love reading, traveling. hiking, movies, music, and learning. I love my job but my favorite thing about it is meeting new people and hearing their stories. That is also why I love traveling and trying new things. I truly hope I get to meet you one day and that I get to hear your stories!
